After three unexpected postponements and a rollercoaster of stress and emotions, finally, the NEET PG 2024 exam was conducted successfully on 11th August in 170 cities across the country. Almost a total of 2,28,540 candidates appeared for the NEET PG exam.
The exam was conducted in two shifts by CBT mode. The shift 1 was from 9 am to 12:30 pm, the shift 2 was from 3:30 pm to 7 pm and the exam duration was 210 minutes. Now the exam is over, it’s time to analyse it. Students who appeared for the NEET PG 2024 examination have shared mixed reviews about the exam.

- Most of the questions were based on PYQs but presented in a modified way. According to the survey, many students reported that almost all the subjects were covered equally similar to the previous years.
- Student reviews indicate that NEET PG 2024 was tougher than last year. Most candidates mentioned that they considered 180-190 questions to be good attempts.
Which subjects were predominant in the NEET PG exam 2024?
- In shift 1 subjects such as Surgery, Pharmacology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, ENT, and Pathology were more predominant and most of the questions were image and clinical-based.
- In shift 2, Subjects like Radiology, Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Surgery and ENT were more predominant and most of the questions were image/surgical based.
- There were very few questions that were solely based on single subjects and most questions were in integrated form.
