NEET PG 2025 Exam Strategy

Is it possible to prepare for NEET PG with a Job? NEET PG 2025 Exam Strategy

Hello students, this is Dr. Praveen Tripathi, faculty at Cerebellum Academy. One of the important questions being asked after the NEET-PG-24 results is, “I want to prepare for the NEET-PG 2025 with a job, is it possible?”

Now, my answer is yes, and the reason is I have interviewed many students who achieved this. I have always said that an exam like NEET-PG should be prepared with full attention, and there should be no distractions. So, if possible, you should prepare only for the exam and not do anything else, but that is not always practically possible.

Many of you are in bond duties, and many of you have to take up a job to support a family, in those cases, the question is how to prepare for the NEET PG exam with a job.

Now students, when you are doing a job, there are two limitations that you have to overcome. The first limitation is that of time, suppose you are in the hospital from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m.—6, 7, or 8 hours are gone, so you have less time in comparison to somebody who is studying full time. But I think the bigger issue is that of consistency. When you are in a job, things would keep on happening—some politics in the hospital, something happening to a patient—something would keep on happening every day, and that hits your consistency badly. What happens is, on one day, you would be able to 8 hours, then for two days, you are not studying at all. This is the problem.

So, if we are studying with a job, we have to take care of both these things and how do we do so? You have to be very smart regarding the preparation resources that you use. You have to use something that ensures your course gets completed and you can revise it twice. If you start with big books, say you start with textbooks, you will not be able to finish them. Even if you are a Cerebellum student and you tell me, “I will do all the main videos,” I would say it is practically impossible. So, you have to be very practical regarding your preparation strategy. Choose something you can finish.

The most important thing as far as your preparation resource is concerned is that you should be able to complete two revisions with that preparation source. That is the hallmark of a good preparation source. So, do that. Ensure that whatever you are studying, you can revise it at least twice. Secondly, you have to ensure that your preparation has a structure and that your preparation has some discipline. Whether you want to study with a friend, with a partner, or go to the library, you have to do something to ensure your preparation has some structure.

And students, if I may, for these reasons only, we started Cerebellum’s Mission Programme. What is Cerebellum’s Mission Programme? We realize that many students are not able to have consistency in their preparation. They study for one day and they do not study for two days. They keep on staring at the video lectures, they are not able to complete them. They look at a video lecture for one hour, but it takes them two hours to complete it, despite watching it at 2x speed. All of this is because there is no consistency, no discipline. So, we thought, let us complete the course in live lectures. That will bring discipline to your preparation. That will give structure to your preparation. It also takes care of the limitation of time because we have put the onus of completing the course and getting the course revised on the teacher. Now, it is the teacher’s job to complete everything in live lectures and also revise it. And of course, the MCQ practice with the help of tests and discussions and the GTs is done.

So, to answer the first question, can you crack the NEET PG exam while being in a job? The answer is an absolute yes, and I am not just saying it. We now have validation from multiple students who have done this. The second question is, okay, how to go about it? You have to ensure that these points are taken care of, and I would invite you to join Cerebellum Academy because we have prepared a programme keeping these exact points in mind. Thank you.
