INI CET November 2024 Exam Analysis : Question Paper Review

The INI CET November 2024 exam, conducted on November 10, was a rollercoaster ride for many candidates. While some questions appeared deceptively simple, the tricky options left even the most prepared candidates confused.

The question distribution too was very uneven, most of the questions concentrated on subjects like Ophthalmology, ENT, and Anatomy, which surprised most of the students.

INI CET November 2024 Exam Overview
Difficulty Level: Moderate

While some of the questions in the INI CET 2024 exam seemed easy, however, the options were difficult and confusing. Pharmacology and Anatomy were comparatively tough. Overall, the exam seemed a bit tougher than in previous years, with both factual memory and application of clinical knowledge.

Question Distribution: Uneven

There was an uneven distribution of questions across different subjects in the INI CET November 2024 exam. The following subjects had significant questions:

  • Ophthalmology
  • ENT
  • Anatomy

These subjects were the primary focus of the INI CET 2024 exam which came as a surprise to many candidates.

Question Type: Factual Over Conceptual

Most of the questions were direct, they were mostly factual rather than conceptual or clinical-based questions. However, some of the questions tested the candidate’s clinical skills. For candidates with a strong foundation in factual knowledge, the paper was relatively easier to handle.

Section-wise Difficulty: Which Sections Were Tougher?
Section 3 & Section 4: The Most Challenging

Sections 3 and 4 of the INI CET November 2024 exam were more challenging compared to the rest of the sections. These portions were considered challenging by the candidates, mainly due to the clinical-based questions and the tough Anatomy and Pharmacology content. 

Topic-wise Analysis: Maximum Questions from 1st and 2nd-Year Subjects

The majority of the questions were from the 1st and 2nd year subjects. The subjects given below had the maximum number of questions. 

  • Pathology
  • Pharmacology
  • Orthopedics (Ortho)
  • Medicine
  • OBS-GYN (Obstetrics & Gynecology)
Previous Year Trends: 30% of Questions from PYTs

A silver lining for many candidates was that almost 30% of the questions were repeated from previous yeast topics.

Good Attempt: How Many Questions Were Easy to Attempt in the INI CET Exam 2024?

Around 60% of the questions were easy to attempt for all students, whereas 20% were moderate, and 20% were challenging, primarily from clinical sections.
