How does NEET-PG/INI-CET Differs from the FMG Exam?

NEET, FMGE & INICET Exam

Most medical aspirants ask, how much different is NEET-PG or INI-CET from FMGE? Five years ago, if someone had asked this question, the difference in levels of difficulty was huge. NEET-PG was at a level of 8, INI-CET at a level of 10, and FMGE at a level of 4 or 5. But now, FMGE has come a long way and is at a level of 6 or 7, so the difference is much less than it used to be.

Conceptual Change in FMGE

The days of rote learning and memorizing previous year’s question papers are long gone. Now, the FMG exam includes several conceptual and clinical questions. Therefore, just focusing on the previous year’s questions will not be enough to clear the FMGE.

Key Changes Between NEET-PG/INI-CET and FMGE
  1. Negative Marking
  1. Difficulty Level & Competition
  1. MCQ Practice & Strong Concepts
Problems Encountered by FMGE Graduates When Preparing for NEET-PG/INI-CET
  1. Mindset Change
  1. Absence of Systematic Study Plan
  1. Alternative Question Strategy
Conclusion

The difference between FMGE and NEET-PG/INI-CET has narrowed significantly. The drift towards clinical and conceptual questions, negative marking, and more competition compel the candidates to change their preparation strategies. Yet, through the help of  Cerebellum Academy and with a concentrated frame of mind, systematic schedule, and intensive MCQ practice, FMGE candidates can easily adapt to NEET-PG or INI-CET and gain a top rank.
