What’s FMGE?
The National Board of Examinations conducts the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination. This eligibility examination allows Indian and foreign nationals who have acquired their medical degree from outside India to practice medicine in India. It is an important test for registering with the Medical Council of India or any of the State Medical Councils before commencing a practice.

- Visit the official NBE website: nbe.edu.in.
- Click on the FMGE results link under the “Results” section.
- Enter your roll number and date of birth to log in.
- Your scorecard will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and print your result for future reference.

What’s Next After Clearing FMGE?
The following are the next steps for students who passed the FMGE:
- Apply for Provisional Registration: Apply to the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council.
- Complete Internship: You are eligible to do a one-year internship in a recognized hospital for hands-on experience.
- Start Practicing: After completion of the internship, you become eligible for permanent registration to practice medicine in India.
