The much-awaited FMGE 2025 has been held successfully across India. The National Board of Examinations (NBE) conducts this FMG examination or Foreign Medical Graduate Examination twice which is a gateway for Indian nationals who received their medical degrees elsewhere and want to continue their practice in India.
The January session of the FMGE 2025 examination was conducted in two shifts, the first from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM and the second from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

FMGE Jan 2025 Examination Overview
The FMGE January 2025 exam was conducted in online mode. According to the students, the overall difficulty level of the FMG 2025 exam was moderate compared to the previous year’s FMG exam. Some questions were exceptionally straightforward, while some were time-consuming and required a clear understanding of concepts and their applications.

Subject-wise FMG Exam Analysis:
- Pharmacology
- The Pharmacology questions were based on the mechanisms of drugs, side effects, and clinical applications.
- Anatomy
- Questions in anatomy were relatively simple, and basic concepts and anatomical structures were the focus.
- It was easy for those students who revised the core concepts.
- Microbiology
- The microbiology portion on average was moderately challenging. The questions asked from topics about microorganisms, attached diseases, and diagnostic methods.
- Students said that a couple of questions were slightly confusing..
- Biochemistry:
- There were several easy to tricky questions in this section. Topics covered were metabolism and molecular biology, among others.
- According to candidates, one group of questions was direct, while others required detailed conceptual clarity.
- Pathology:
- Questions in pathology centred on the mechanisms of diseases, their diagnostic criteria, and the pathological alterations they induce.
- Students with a good foundation in pathology could handle this section.
- Forensic Medicine:
- Straightforward was the forensic medicine section, covering topics like legal aspects, postmortem changes, and toxicology.
- Many students called this section the easiest one in the exam.
- Community Medicine:
- This section appeared to be again fairly easy, with questions about epidemiology, national health programs, and preventive medicine.
- Most students mentioned this section as less difficult.

- Most of the candidates rated the FMGE January 2025 paper as of moderate level compared to the previous one.
- While some sections were easy, others fairly required time management and a deeper understanding of core medical scenarios.
Balanced Paper:
