Crack NEET PG & INI-CET with this Mindset by Dr. Praveen Tripathi

NEET PG PREPARATION

Will you be able to crack NEET PG or INI-CET? Let me be very frank with you—no one has any idea. Only God has. So instead of wasting your time on a question for which there is no definite answer, ask something better. Something that you can answer.

Don’t keep asking “Will I get selected?”That is a question that generates only stress and self-doubt. Instead, change your mindset.

Set Certain Goals

Here’s a better goal—one you can measure, one you can do, one that provides you with clarity: Tomorrow, I will finish 12 study sessions of 1 hour each. That’s it. Now ask yourself, can you do it tomorrow?

You’ll know the answer tomorrow night. And if the answer is no, then correct it the day following. There is no guesswork. There is no confusion. Just complete clarity. And when you begin living like this, measure your day on what you can control, you begin to improve. Every day.

Whenever your mind begins wandering, will I be chosen or not?, What if I mess up? Stop these thoughts. Tell yourself: There’s no way to answer that today. But I can answer if I’ll study 10–12 hours tomorrow with full concentration. This single shift can revolutionise your preparation.

Hours Matter—But So Does Concentration

Yes, the number of hours does matter. If you’re studying with your books, watching your videos, doing questions for 10–12–14 hours a day, your chances of getting selected increase. No question about that. But that’s only half of it.

Also, ask yourself:

In those 10 hours, I worked how well? If total concentration is 1.0, then were you at 0.9? 0.6? Or were you just sitting there, thinking at 0.3? We need to maximise both your number of hours and your productivity.

And what we want to do is take that concentration and drive it to 1x. Because simply putting in the time is no longer sufficient. You need to make the time work.

Aim for the Flow

There is a word in neuroscience known as flow. Flow is that lovely place where you are so focused on your work, it begins to feel easy. You aren’t distracted. You aren’t fatigued. You simply study. That’s where we need to be. But let me be clear, it doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time. It builds gradually. You won’t watch this video or read this blog, and suddenly hit the flow. But you can prepare for it. You can create the conditions.

How?

In the first 15–20 minutes, it will be difficult to study. But once you hit 30–40 minutes, you’ll begin to feel better. Your brain will adapt. You’ll get your rhythm. That’s the flow.

Ask Yourself This Every Night

At night, ask yourself two questions:

Begin grading yourself. Keep track. If you notice that your focus is low, tell yourself bluntly:

This is unacceptable. I have to concentrate. I will concentrate. Trust me, reminding yourself to concentrate strengthens your concentration.

It’s not motivational, it’s neurology. Your prefrontal cortex takes notice when you speak with determination.

Two Things You Need To Begin Doing

When exams get close, do these two items without exception:

  1. Stop uncertain thoughts. You don’t have to mull over the outcome daily. That’s beyond your control now.
  1. Begin by measuring your effort and concentration. Time + efficiency = progress. If today you’re reading at 0.4x, tomorrow target 0.6x. Keep going up.
Conclusion:

The exams are approaching. The remaining time is limited. But it’s enough to turn the tables.

Push more than ever before. Do more than you have ever done before. Forget all else and get obsessed with your studies, with this exam, with your future. And sometimes, when you give your everything beyond reason, magic occurs.

That one magical rank that will shock everyone, including you, that’s what I want you to pursue. So go. Work hard. Study smart. Focus deep. And create your magic.

All the best.
